10 things to see and do on the Amalfi Coast

You can’t visit Italy without a trip to the Amalfi Coast.  It is a 50km stretch of coastline on the south eastern edge of Italy’s Sorrentine Peninsula. It is an extremely popular holiday destination and is famous for its sheer cliffs, rugged coastline, small beaches and pastel coloured houses built into the mountains.

6: Villa Cimbrone Gardens, Ravello

Some of the most beautiful gardens we’ve seen, simply because not only are there gorgeous gardens, but the view is magnificent.  You must stop here for a few hours – it’s amazing!  The town of Ravello is also fantastic and a nice spot to stop and find somewhere local for lunch.

5: Borgo di Furore

We were lucky enough to visit just outside of peak season so the beach was deserted! The views are breathtaking – the trickiest part was finding a park on the side of the coastal road so we could hop down to the beach and check it out!

4: Taking the bus from Praiano to Positano, purely for the experience!

This is certainly an experience!  A little nerve racking but exciting and interesting all at the same time! This short video tells the story!  It’s a bit shaky, but you will get the gist!

3: Coastal Drive

It is one of the most picturesque drives you can do in Italy – and thankfully you need to drive slow because that way you can take in the beauty!
