A fun experience at the Muay Thai Boxing, Patong Boxing Stadium

If you’re looking for a fun experience in Phuket, look no further than Muay Thai Boxing in Patong, Phuket!

Where is it held?

Located at Phuket Boxing Stadium in Patong, you can easily get there by taxi or tuk tuk. We stayed at the Novotel Phuket Resort and the journey should take approximately 15 minutes. However, be prepared for a lot of traffic and allow plenty of time to get there!

Timing

The fights commence at 9pm and gates open at 8pm. If you’re travelling with kids, be prepared for a late night! Fights are every night, except Monday.

There is typically around 6 – 8 fights, both male and female and various age categories. Our son was just under 7 years old when we visited and he thoroughly enjoyed it! We picked up some traditional thai boxing shorts for the evening, and he was even able to meet some of the boxers out the back.

How much does it cost?

Visit their website for current pricing and to buy tickets!

What to expect inside the stadium

If you purchase standard tickets, you will be guided on where to sit within the stadium. If you purchase the VIP tickets ringside, you will have allocated seats.

There are staff walking around taking drink orders, or you can go up to the bar and order food and drinks yourself.

If you fancy a bet, there is even someone wondering around taking bets for each fight!

Good to know

We didn’t stay until the end, which meant getting a taxi or tuk tuk is easy! If you’re not fussed on seeing all of the fights, I’d recommend this as it will save being stuck in the traffic!!
